Parliament opposition leader is using international media and television to tell lies about Malaysia, as if, the parliament house is not good enough for him. This approach is not democratic because the Malaysian voters are not used to the back-door style adopted by MP Permatang Pauh, just elected.
He was on Al-Jazeera recently, telecast up to Indonesia, telling the International viewers the ethnic problems in Sarawak. Apparently, the Sarawak people were surprised with the unqualified remarks by Anwar Ibrahim, They were slighted by his observations and theses which were unfounded. They said that Anwar Ibrahim needed to do more research before making baseless conclusions about the affairs of Sarawak.
The hit and run tools used by Anwar Ibrahim are alien in Malaysian politics. Che Guevera, Castro exploited similar tactics in overthrowing governments. However, current Latino guerrilla fighters in certain lasting state, are using Anwar’s method to destabilize legitimate regime.
Malaysia has a parliament with democratically-elected members every five years. It is the best legal forum for members to deliberate all issues freely. It is senseless and ashamed for Anwar Ibrahim to use other alien media to discredit Malaysia.
Political observers view that Anwar Ibrahim is really desperate because it is just impossible for him to become Prime Minister on September 16, 2008. He has to simply look for any excuse to appear not cheating his voters in Permatang Pauh and PKR, DAP, PAS supporters.
Most Malaysians are not ready to accept a leader who shows no respect for democratic principles. We should reject a leader who is power-crazy and also lacking in integrity. For information, Anwar Ibrahim will be charged in court for sodomy on 10th September 2008.
